Not Good-bye...See you later

We saw James for the last time until we return to take him home. He cried most of the visit. He seems to be attached to one of the nannies and she to him. This is a good thing in the long run.
We've made many memories and some good Ethiopian friends. I can't wait to share all our experiences with you all.
We should arrive in Lexington Wednesday evening!
This has been some trip in many, many ways.

Life has a way of marching on, doesn't it? Since the boys began school, life has picked up a bit for us. Last weekend, we helped out with a multi-ministry tailgate before the very first CSU football game in their brand new stadium. We met a lot of new people, connected with other campus ministries and watched as the thousands of people filed into the stadium to watch Colorado State play Oregon State. Though many things are vastly different here, corn hole is as much a part of tailgating here as it is at home.  One thought runs through my head when we are on campus. The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Spend Time.

Stopped.  Not even with a stopwatch.  The click of the button doesn't end the minute you were calculating.  Our clocks. Our wristwatches. Our Rolexes. Timexes.  They are our attempt to capture sixty seconds, sixty minutes, sixty hours--our life.  But all in vain.  6:10 p.m. to me is not 6:10 p.m. to you or to Bob next door or even to Shelly six states away or Ming a continent away. Our life is captured in events, happenings, memories--but only for a short while. No really it's captured in deeds--in our legacy.  As much as we try to keep up with the times, what will really matter is what was left behind. Part One: The Beginning of New I've often wondered how Sarah felt when God called Abraham to follow him and leave everything. At first, God gave them no direction except to follow him. Did she go with excitement and exuberance? Or did she think it was the craziest idea she'd ever heard? Did she mourn the family and friends she left behind?
